EndSARS protesters in Rivers state stormed the streets of Port Harcourt despite warning from Governor Wike of River state that no protest should be held in the state.

Governor Nyesom Wike of River State had banned all forms of protests relating to EndSARS in River State. The governor specifically said all proposed protests by #EndSARS campaigners had been prohibited.

He explained that there was no need for any form of demonstration since the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, had disbanded the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Nigeria Police Force.

However, protesters paid no heed to the order as they stormed the street of Port Harcourt this morning to protest against the brutality of the police force.

One of the protesters identified as Ébi Wali, said: “The hot blood that runs in Wike runs in every port Harcourt breed, we are very stubborn. We will rather die in the fields than die sleeping. Intimidation is our enemy. #SarsMustGoNow”.
