WAEC postpones WASSCE GCE exam date, changes time timetable

WAEC has postponed its examination date for WASSCE for private candidates

The West African Examination Council, WAEC has postponed the examination date for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination, WAASCE for private candidates.

The WAEC council has also changed the timetable for the GCE examination.

According to the WAEC council, the examination date which was scheduled to begin on Saturday, November 14, 2020, will no longer begin as it was planned. Still, the council has not given the reason for the postponement of the examination.

The examination date has now been rescheduled to take place on Monday, November 30th 2020 and will be commencing with a new timetable that will be released soon as stated by the council.

"The West African Examination Council(WAEC), Nigeria wishes to inform all registered candidates that for WASSCE for private candidates, 2020 Second-Series and the general public that there has been a change in the timetable", said the council.

"The examination which was initially scheduled to commence on Saturday, November 14, 2020, will no longer hold as planned due to circumstances beyond our control. The examination has now been rescheduled on Monday, November 30th 2020.

"The council wishes to reassure candidates that the new timetable for the conduct of the examination will be released soon.

"We regret any inconveniences that this might cause our dear candidates and members of the general public".
