Duncan Mighty in big trouble over N3.6 million

Nigerian music star Duncan Mighty has been accused of running away with N3.6M paid to him for a concert

Duncan Wene Mighty Okechukwu, popularly known by his stage name Duncan Mighty has been accused by Jackson Ude of being notorious in collecting money and not showing up for concerts.

On Saturday, January 15, 2022, the Nigerian Journalist Jsckson Ude tweeted the allegations against Duncan Mighty.

He wrote, "I paid Duncan Mighty N3million for Nkporo Youths Unity Concert that held December 30, 2021, and additional N630k for flight tickets. He didn’t show up for the concert.

Next, I heard was a picture of him wrapped in bandages claiming accident while holding his cell phone,"

He also disclosed that the singer has become infamous for collecting money from show promoters without showing up for the shows.

"Duncan Mighty has become notorious for collecting money from show promoters and not showing up. He did that with a show in Uromi, Uyo, and other places. I am not one who would want to deal with folks in the entertainment industry. Duncan should avoid my troubles and payback NOW!" he added.

Jackson Ude's allegations come weeks after the singer was involved in a ghastly motor accident.

The 38-year-old musician is renowned for his relatable music and made his music debut in 2008.

In 2019, Duncan Mighty was arrested on allegations of an N11 million fraud.

According to Vanguard News, Imo police spokesman, Godson Ikeokwu, said that Duncan Mighty was arrested following an allegation of fraud.

Duncan's arrest followed a petition written by an upcoming rap artist M2, who claimed that the Imo State Government led by Owelle Rochas Okorocha, through the office of the SA on Entertainment, signed a deal with Duncan Mighty to manage, promote, arrange a collaboration with other top artiste and sign M2 under YOUNG WEALTH record label owned by Duncan Mighty.

The deal was signed, and an agreed fee of eleven million naira was (N11,000,000) paid to him,

However, since payment was made, Duncan Mighty refused to fulfill his part of the deal.

The singer later had to part with 22,000 dollars for his release.
