YBNL Nation signee Fireboy DML, is about to make his second international collabo debut with music Queen of pop, Madonna.
Currently the talk of the town after a photo of him and American pop star Madonna on a video set surfaced, Fireboy will be featured on the remix of her 1998 hit single "Frozen."
Announcing their collaboration, the Grammy award winning Madonna, 63, shared a series of photos of her and Fireboy, 26, posing together on the music video set.
In her caption the music star wrote while interacting with her 17.7 million followers: ‘Frozen Remix song and video featuring @fireboydml.’ Adding a trio of fire emojis and she announced the release date of the Frozen remix, ‘Music drops March 3rd………’
In one of the shots, the pop icon is spotted wearing a leather corset and matching hot pants while Afrobeat star Fireboy matches her fishnet tights with a black string vest.
As usual Madonna adds a slice of risque and suggestiveness in one of the shots where she included a photo of her crouching on the floor with her bum on show.
Even more shocking is that in one of the images that seems to be taken during the video set, Fireboy was seen holding the 63-year-old singer’s waist in matching black coloured outfits.
The legendary Madonna then finishes up the post with a Nigerian flag emoji.
Nigerian Afrobeats star, Fireboy who recently enjoyed global reception after his Peru remix with British singer, Ed Sheeran is definitely having the time of his life in the United States of America in 2022 with Madonna.
Fireboy's Peru remix with Ed Sheeran gave the smashing hit single a boost and propelled the song to number two in the UK.
The hit song, Frozen is one of Madonna's most notable hits and served as the lead single for her seventh album Ray Of Light, released in 1998.
The ethereal track reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the US, and number one in the UK – her second to ever top the charts.
Fireboy's feature on Madonna's frozen is a synergy no one saw coming and a rather unusual music link up.
How Fireboy's feature with Madonna will help his career
No one can deny how unexpected Fireboy's latest collaboration with Madonna has been. The 63-year-old Madonna is the most successful female artist in the Billboard Hot 100 Chart history.
Ranked #2 on the greatest of all time hot 100 artists Madonna is crowned Queen of Pop(yes, the same title that crowned Micheal Jackson as the King of Pop). Also, Madonna recently hit the 4,200,000,000 streams mark on Spotify.
Even though anyone would like to argue that Fireboy has made a name for himself, being on a single with a veteran in music according to the world-class music standards is a big deal.
Madonna is also worth a whopping $850 million in 2022, making her one of the richest musicians in the world. Forbes even named Madonna the wealthiest female musician of all time.
So imagine how much Fireboy will be paid from doing music with her. And if he gets to input lyrics on the song, Fireboy will receive a percentage of royalties from the sound recording side of the copyright.
This will give the YBNL star's music a big boost. Fireboy is no doubt a young Nigerian musician critically acclaimed for his intelligent demonstrations of afrobeat.
Quite the newcomer to the industry, at 26 Fireboy since the re-release of his breakthrough single “Jealous” that brought him fame in 2019 won Listener’s choice award in the year 2020.
Jealous was also nominated for the song of the year 2020 at the Soundcity MVP Award Festival.
