Nigerian celebs like Davido, Ubi Franklin and Wizkid are baby daddies to children of three or four baby mamas and counting.


The word "baby mama" has transcended the cultural stereotype attached to the label. A fast-growing trend in Nigeria, baby mama, is used for women who bear children for men out of wedlock.

However, in the case of a guy, he's called "baby daddy". There are a lot of Nigerian celebrities who have ditched the time-honoured tradition of marriage and kids.

Unlike in the old days when the polygamous life was rampant, today, young people choose the baby mama, daddy lifestyle instead.

This article documents celebrities with the highest number of baby mamas in Nigeria.

Ubi Franklin, Music Executive

1. Ubi Franklin

Nigerian music executive Ubi Franklin has one of the highest baby mamas. Even though the baby mama life has not become culturally accepted to some extent, Ubi Franklin revealed that having four baby mamas doesn't make him a wrong person.

Ubi Franklin married Lillian Esoro in 2015 and welcomed a son together, Jayden. The marriage collapsed one year after but became officially divorced last year. Franklin also shares a child, Shiloh, with South African Nicole Siyo.

The music executive and serial entrepreneur Ubi Franklin also has a child named Zaneta from a young lady self-titled, Igala finest.

Franklin's fourth baby mama recently married Sandra Iheuwa, with whom he shares daughter, Ariella.

Sandra Iheuwa was in the news after her husband Thompsons dragged her on social media.

2. Davido

The Omo baba olowo singer is not left out from the list of Nigerian celebrities who have many baba mamas. Davido welcomed his first daughter, Imade Adeleke with Sophia Momodu in 2015 after a brief affair.

Hailey, Davido's second child was born in 2017. Amanda, an Atlanta-based model, is the mother of Hailey. His most recent baby mama is Chioma Rowland In October 2019, Davido and Chioma welcomed his third child and first son whom they named Chioma.

Davido is one of Nigeria's richest musicians, known for hit songs such as 'Dami Duro', 'Fall', 'Assurance' and 'Blow my mind'.

The 29-year-old has received both global and international recognition for his music, Davido featured in the 'Coming to America 2' movie as an entertainer.

3. Tekno

After beautiful Lola Rae dropped the video for her song 'Watch My Ting Go' in 2013, she instantly was on to a promising start in the industry. However, after a few years, Lola's career hit a brick wall in her music career, and she has since continued to struggle to get her act together.

What started as a relationship rumour involving Lola Rae and Tekno in 2017 was confirmed after the couple welcomed their first child together in 2018

Nigerian comedian Julius Agwu discovered Tekno Miles in 2012 at an event in Abuja; on October 5, 2013, Tekno signed his first recording contract with Made Men Music Group, where he released singles like "Dance" and "Anything".

In June 2018, Tekno signed a distribution deal with Universal Music Group Nigeria (UMGN), a division of Universal Music Group in charge of West Africa, as well as the UK-based Island Records[Wikipedia]

In July 2019, Tekno featured on Beyoncé's The Lion King: The Gift soundtrack on "Don't Jealous Me".

4. Wizkid

The Grammy award-winning singer is a father of three children from different mothers. Wizkid met Shola Ogudu, his first baby mama, in 2010, and by 2011, Boluwatife Balogun, his first son, was born.

The Afrobeat star, Big Wiz, went on to have his second child, Ayodeji Balogun, with Guinean American model Binta Diallo. Wizkid had his third child, Zion Balogun, with Jada Pollock - his manager in 2017.

Jada Pollock is a brand consultant from Britain who has formerly worked with Chris Brown and Pia Mia. Jada's pregnancy shocked the public since no one expected Wizzy to be romantically involved with his manager.

Before the birth of Zion, Wizkid's first two baby mamas had to provide a DNA test result proving him as the father before taking responsibility.

5. Flavour

Chinedu Izuchukwu Okoli, aka Flavour, became popular in the music industry in 2005. The 'Ada Ada' crooner stole the hearts of Sandra Okagbue and former beauty queen  Anna Ebiere Banner.

Flavour disclosed that he had no marriage intention for his baby mamas as it would derail his musical career. Sandra Okagbue is Flavour N'abania's first baby mama who gave birth to his first daughter in 2014.

Anna Banner is the second baby mama of singer Flavour N'abania. A former beauty queen, Anna, became his second daughter's mother in 2015.

Flavour's second baby mama, Anna Banner, was expelled from her University in Dubai when she got pregnant for Flavour. According to her, things were tough during the period of her pregnancy.
