Burnaboy

1.Burna Boy shares 3 new snippets, video with Ed Sheeran

Nigerian Grammy-winning Afrobeats artist Burna Boy has been persistent about revealing a release date and title for his next album.

However, he took to his Instagram page to share a few snippets of some of the songs he's been working on recently. Burna boy's fourth studio album African Giant, had a major influence on Afrobeats despite failing to win the Grammy for best global music album when nominated in 2019.

His fifth project, 'Twice as Tall,' however, earned him the award last year.

Burna Boy has recorded huge success since last year, from headlining concerts in the United Kingdom, the United States, France, and other countries. The recent link up with Ed Sheeran could indicate a new collaboration.

Recall that they collaborated with Stormzy on 'Own It' from Stormzy's 'Heavy Is The Head' album in 2019..

Davido

2.Davido set to build the 'craziest crib ever' in Banana Island

Billionaire heir and Nigerian music star Davido has disclosed that he is about to build one of the most remarkable houses ever.

The singer, Davido recently received a property gift from his father.

Taking to his Instagram Stories on Thursday, April 14, 2022, he shared photos and videos of the piece of land where he plans to build the house.

"I'm boutta build the craziest crib y'all ever seen," he captioned the video.

Earlier in the year, Davido announced that his father gifted him a property and revealed that he was going to build something amazing for his kids.

"I'm boutta build some crazy shit for the kids," he said at that time.

The music star recently opened his new home in Banana Island.

3.Ask 2Face Idibia to get a vasectomy - Shade Ladipo appeals to Annie Idibia

Nigerian media personality Shade Ladipo has given her two cents to Nollywood actress Annie Idibia to plead with her music star husband to get a vasectomy.

In a post shared via her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, the media personality said there were too many children in the 2Face's life.

"I love you Annie so now would be a great time to ask for a vasectomy. I mean there are enough children in the mix #JustAThought,'' she wrote.

Ladipo's comments might be based on her recent breakdown during an episode of the reality TV show Young, Famous and African.

The movie star had broken down over her husband's infidelity while they were dating.

Annie had revealed during one of the episodes of the show that she has been subjected to many humiliations and embarrassment and would always question how 2face made the same mistake twice.

4.Obi Cubana celebrates grand 47th birthday with 13 cakes

Nigerian King of Night life, Obi Cubana recently celebrated his 47th birthday in grand style.

The birthday party held in one of the exclusive restaurants in Abuja and was attended by friends and family of the billionaire.

Present for Obi Cubana's birthday celebration was the senator representing Abuja in the National Assembly, Philp Aduba.

The former governor of Imo state and current serving senator, Rochas Okorocha was also in attendance.

He later took to his Instagram page where he shared photos and videos from the birthday dinner.

"Thank you all; I love you all!!!!❤," he captioned one of the videos.

Obinna Iyegbu popularly known as Obi Cubana is a Nigerian entrepreneur and businessman who chairs the Cubana Group made headlines in 2021 during the burial of his mother.

The crusade like burial ceremony was a sight to behold with the public display of affluence and wealth.

Other celebrities who turned up for the ceremony include Alexx Ekubo, Phyno, Kanayo O. Kanayo, Ubi Franklin and BBNaija's Frodd.

The singer, born and raised in Ibadan before moving to Lagos to pursue his musical passion, established himself as Nigeria's production king, responsible for massive hits such as Kizz Daniel's "Mama," Mayorkun's "True," and Olamide's "Wo!!," "Bobo," "Science Student," and many more.

Popular African-American comedian, Steve Harvey has revealed surprising news about leaving Ghana to seek greener pastures in America.

According to him, America is not what most young Africans perceive it to be because people like him wish they would live in places like Ghana where they'll feel safe forever.

The famous show host made this disclosure in an interview that has gone viral on social media platforms.

In the past few days Barbadian singer Rihanna and her partner A$AP Rocky's relationship has been questioned as rumours of their split rocked the internet.

However, in the light of recent developments the news is untrue about their split.

They’re fine,” a source says. “It’s not true.”

According to an eyewitness who spoke with PageSix,  the couple went on a date at Craig’s in West Hollywood just last week “She looked fine, and when they walked out they were fine. It felt normal between them.”

The rumours of their alleged split first surfaced on social media on Thursday, April 14, 2022.

According to a reports, the couple had parted ways over cheating allegations.

“Rihanna & ASAP Rocky have split. Rihanna broke up with him after she caught him cheating with shoe designer Amina Muaddi,” the blogger alleged.

However, the shoe designer has debunked the rumour after she released a statement to clear the air saying that "Rih(Rihanna) 

A$AP Rocky confirmed that they were dating in 2021.

10. Grammy-winner Jon Batiste set for film acting debut in ‘The Color Purple’ musical

Earlier in the month Jon Batiste, won five Grammys. The star of the Grammys will make his big-screen acting debut in the upcoming musical remake of “The Color Purple.”

The 35-year-old musician — a musical director and bandleader for “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” — is set to play Grady, the husband of sultry blues singer Shug Avery, who will be portrayed by 51-year-old Taraji P. Henson (“Hidden Figures,” “Empire”). Grady was played by Bennet Guillory, 75, in the Academy Award-nominated 1985 film.
