Eternals now showing in Nigerian cinemas

1. Marvel's "The Eternals" is now showing in Nigeria!

Marvel's anticipated movie, "The Eternals", in all cinemas in Nigeria, has finally been released.

The NFVCB suspended the superhero movie directed by Chloe Zhao from showing in cinemas after there was reportedly a gay scene of two men kissing.

But now, the Eternals was released in cinemas in Nigeria on Nov 12.

Ckay's 'Love Nwantiti' was crowned the biggest global hit of 2021

2. Ckay's Love Nwantity hit the 15million streams on TikTok

Following his Platinum certification award in France, Ckay's 'Love Nwantiti' was crowned the biggest global hit of 2021 by the Bytedance platform.

 With 15 billion streams on TikTok, November 9, 2021, the Nigerian artist is well on his way to better days.

Nominated, for AFRIMMA and endorsed by Google Cabdy Bleakz is the voice of street pop culture.

3. Candy Bleakz performs at the Grammys.

Chocolate City's latest signee Candy Bleakz is set to perform at the digital performance series by Recording Academy "Global Spin".

The latest episode of Global Spin, GRAMMY.com's digital series, aims to celebrate and elevate global music.

Trailing her AFRIMAA nomination and endorsement by Google, Candy Bleakz's performance is a first of its kind for street pop music.

The fast rising female rapper delivers a thrilling performance of her songs "Kope" and "Kanle".

Nigeria's fast rising Afrobeat stars Rema and Ayra Starr have been nominated for the MOBO Awards.

Nigeria's fast-rising Afrobeat stars Rema and Ayra Starr have been nominated for the MOBO Awards.

Founder of Mavin records, Don Jazzy, announced via Instagram as he expressed his gratitude to the organisers for recognising his artists.

"Ayra Starr and Rema have been nominated for the 2021 MOBO Awards! Crazy. It's been under a year since we activated Ayra and less than three years for Rema. This is phenomenal. A big shout out to them for their talent and hard work, and to the whole Mavin Team for being such a brilliant family,'' Don Jazzy wrote.

Rema's nomination for Best International Act puts him side by side with Wizkid, Kanye West, Drake and Lil Nas X.

Few months back the couple's marriage went through turbulent times based on speculations and allegations of cheating levelled against 2Face and Pero, his baby mama.

5. Annie idibia turns 37 with an apology

Nollywood actress Annie has rendered an apology to her husband and the public over a family brawl.

On Saturday, Annie posted a lengthy caption of apology on Instagram

6. Yvonne Orji set to host 49th International Emmy Awards

Nigerian-American actress Yvonne Orji will host the 49th International Emmy Awards.

The International Emmy Award is slated for November 22.

The event honours worldwide excellence in television programming worldwide.

Orji has starred in various movie projects; the final season of HBO hit series 'Insecure', Momma I made it, a stand-up comedy.

This year's event will spot 44 nominees from 24 countries across the world.

The British actress who stars as T'Challa's techy sister Shuri has since been in London receiving treatment.

7. “Wakanda Forever” production put on hold as star actor sustains an injury.

Marvel Studios reportedly shut down the production of the ‘Black Panther’ sequel ‘Wakanda Forever.

This is following the injury sustained by Letitia Wright while performing a stunt at an on-location shoot in Boston in August.

The British actress who stars T’Challa’s techy sister Shuri has since been in London receiving treatment.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, a representative for Wright confirmed Letitia’sa’s recover”.

Letitia has been recovering in London since September from injuries sustained on the set of Black Panther 2 and is looking forward to returning to work early 20 “2,” 

“Letitia kindly asks that you keep her in your prayers.”

8. Paris Hilton marries Fiance Reum Carter in grand style.

After dating for 2years, billionaire heiress Paris Hilton and boyfriend Reum Carter tied the knot on Thursday.

In a fairytale themed wedding, the couple shared their vows at grandfather Hilton's estate.

The 40-year-old actress announced the good news via Instagram.

Sources say that the ceremony was very intimate, and it was clear the couple were in love as they shared a very long French kiss.

9. Adele opens up about love with Rich Paul

British singer Adele opened up about her newfound love with Rich Paul.

Adele, known for keeping her personal life out of the news, has come out to express what being in love with Rich Paul feels.

The Easy on me singer said they first met on the dance floor at a mutual friend's birthday party years ago but didn't hit things off until June of 2021.

In her words, "it's the most "incredible, openhearted, and easiest" relationship I have ever been in." 

Travis faces several lawsuits as police say it is not the first time there has been violence during his concerts.

10. Travis Scott faces charges over Astroworld tragedy

On November 5 Astroworld Festival in Houston, where rapper Travis Scott was performing November 5, a crowd surge claimed the lives of about 9 people.

Police are investigating the matter as Travis faces lawsuits and charges.

The Astroworld tragedy occurred when the eager crowd began pushing towards the stage on Travis Scott's arrival.

Things escalated quickly, the arena was small, and there was a stampede.

Eight people were confirmed dead and many others injured.

Attorneys representing more than 209 people injured at the concert told BBC reporters that they filed 90 suits against Travis and Drake on Monday, November 8. 

The lawsuit includes allegations that Scott and surprise performer Drake incited the crowd at Friday's event and Live Nation failed to provide adequate safety measures.

"We're not going to let anybody off the hook."

One of the biggest guys in rap music, Scott started Astroworld with concert promoters Live Nation in 2018.

Following the tragedy, fans have petitioned for Scott to be banned from performing at the 49th Coachella.
