Dr Ola Brown, the founder of the Flying Doctors Healthcare Investment Group, designed this testing booth to help in the fight against coronavirus.

The healthcare company offers air ambulance, hospital construction, medical equipment supply, retail pharmacy services etc. across the African region.

The launching of the testing booth had different dignitaries in attendance such as the Deputy Governor of the state, Chief Mrs Yetunde Onanuga and the Commissioner for Health, Dr Tomi Coker.

The Deputy Governor congratulated Dr Ola Brown and her team for the innovative project saying,

"We are committed to the wellbeing of the citizens of Ogun state, and that is why we worked closely with Dr Ola Brown and her team to develop this innovative project".

"Personal protective equipment has been a major expense during the COVID-19 epidemic for developed and developing countries alike.

The mobile testing booth not only reduces the need for as much PPE, it also potentially saves millions of naira per day.

"It reduces the risk of the healthcare worker infections by providing a barrier between the potentially infected patient and the healthcare worker taking the sample.

"The mobile testing booth is a timely invention as the country has recorded COVID-19 infections in at least 40 medical personnel.

She went ahead to remind community members and other stakeholders that were present during the launching about the state's historical culture of innovation, saying:

"The state will continue to embrace innovative ideas and solutions in healthcare as well as other sectors".
