Oke Obi-Enadhuze was one of the unfortunate victims who painfully lost their lives in the course of the #EndSARS protest. His brother narrates the story of how late Oke was stabbed by thugs and was rejected by two hospitals he was rushed to before he died.

The story of Oke's death went viral on social media platforms, especially Twitter, with many reports claiming that a stray bullet from a police officer killed him.

However, Oke's younger brother Daniel has come out to narrate how his brother died while stating that a stray bullet did not kill his brother as some reports had it.

Daniel made a thread via his Twitter handle, @DanielOe16 where he said that Oke lost his life as a result of an injury inflicted on his neck by one of the thugs that attacked the barracks where they live at Mafoloku, Oshodi area of Lagos state.

Late Oke was a fresh graduate of Computer Science from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta and was said to have helped build a blood donation app for Life Bank Services.

Just before the tragedy struck, Oke's made a tweet- his last tweet which read, "Nigeria won't end me".

Daniel tweeting about the sad incident, wrote, "My mum's two cars were destroyed and set on fire, and then they infiltrated our house by breaking the door. They then proceeded to ransack the house and carted away everything we own.

"My brother, on trying to get them to take everything but spare us, was pushed to my mum's room and stabbed on the neck. The attacker proceeded to attack me, but missed my neck and got my chin instead.

"After this, my mum and I carried my brother's body to the entrance of the station, soliciting for help from the thugs still ravaging the barracks.

"We were finally able to put him in a wheelbarrow and took him to a hospital".

According to Daniel, Oke was confirmed by the hospital and was rejected. They had moved him to another hospital where he was also rejected.

"Unfazed, we moved him to another hospital where he met the same treatment. This was where he bled his last drops of blood and died. His body has now been moved to the morgue", Daniel wrote.

"Let it be known that my brother @O_Okee (Oke) was NOT killed by a police bullet, but died a hero protecting my mother and me", he added.

Daniel's explanatory thread has received mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media with some insinuating that he was pressured to debunk the story that his brother was hit by the police stray bullet.
