The Edo State Governor and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Godwin Obaseki, has urged voters to come out en masse to exercise their franchise on September 19, 2020, adding that it would be hitch-free.

Obaseki said that the election would be without harassment or intimidation as the President, Muhammadu Buhari, has assured him of a peaceful election in the state.

Obaseki made this known while addressing the party faithful during his reelection campaign rally in the Ovia South-West Local Government Area of the state.

To further allay the fear of his party supporters, he added that the opposition party are not greater than them (PDP) in number.

He said, "President Buhari has assured me that the Edo election will be peaceful. There will be peace in Edo; don't be intimidated by the opposition, before, during and after the election.

"They are not more than us in number; vote and make sure your vote counts. Stay back in your polling units to ensure they count your vote in your presence".

Obaseki would be going against the opposition party, All Progressive Congress candidate, Ize-Iyamu in the upcoming September 19 election.
