Buhari's CoS, Gambari receives suspended Anambra traditional rulers
The Chief of Staff to the president, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, received some traditional rulers from Anambra State at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday.
Earlier in the day, the state government reportedly suspended the monarchs for one year for travelling out of the state without permission.
Their visit was announced via a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina.
Adesina said the traditional rulers expressed their gratitude to the president, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), for his commitment to the development of the country in general, especially the South-East.
The monarchs, he said were led to the Presidential Villa by Prince Arthur Eze.
Adesina added that the Chief of Staff said the gesture shown by the monarchs would even encourage the President to do more the country and for the region.
"As it is generally said in most parts of the country when you thank somebody for what he has done, he is encouraged and does more.
"This is an incentive for the President to do more for the country, and also for the South-East", Gambari reportedly said.
