The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra has warned politicians from the South-East part of the country not to waste their funds on the 2023 presidency adding that having a President emerge from the region was impossible.

MASSOB's National Director of Information, Mr Sunday Okereafor explained that the plot to make sure that no Igbo indigene never takes the presidential seat started after the civil war.

Okereafor who spoke via a telephone interview with news reporters said that any Igbo who decided to run for the presidency would only be wasting his or her money.

He said "Those people calling them to be ready for the presidency are not sincere. We know that it will turn out to be a waste of funds and a waste of time.

"The Igbo will never rule Nigeria; so, the Igbo politicians should avoid wasting their money. Alex Ekwueme tried it and failed, Rochas Okorocha went and failed.

"Ogbonnaya Onu went there and failed. Also, Odumegwu Ojukwu tried the presidency and failed; a lot of Igbos tried it and failed".

Okereafor urged Igbo youths to get themselves engaged in meaningful activities and ventures and shun any Igbo politician seeking support for Igbo presidency.

He further pointed out that some of the Igbos who are in government only went there to amass wealth, adding that nobody would take them seriously when it is time to occupy the critical positions in government.
