Ibrahimovic has been helping AC Milan to win many matches

AC Milan has been an exciting team to watch since the return of Ibrahimovic in the Serie A league. Let us look at his impact on the club in the 2020/2021 season.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been the star of the show in Italian Serie A since he rejoined AC Milan in the 2020 January transfer window, winning games for the club individually.

When Zlatan Ibrahimovic joined AC in January from MLS club Los Angeles Galaxy, he was like a saviour to the club, scoring 10 goals in just the second half of the 2019 season.

It was difficult for AC Milan to win any game without Ibrahimovic. The 39-year-old super striker, despite his age, still helped AC Milan to seal a spot for the 2020 Europa League.

Ibrahimovic Statistics in the 2020 Serie A Season

In the 2020/2021 season, Ibrahimovic has continued his run of form from last season to the new season scoring ten Serie A goals in just six appearances this season.

Even though Ibrahimovic missed some games when he tested positive for coronavirus, he returned with good form scoring two goals against Inter Milan to win the Milan derby for AC Milan.

Ibrahimovic has also scored against two other Serie A top teams, two against Roma and two against Napoli in the weekend, making it a total of six goals against top clubs in the Serie A league in just six appearances.

His recent record is something to be looked into—the fourth player in the Serie A history to score in six straight matches. A player of 39 years keeping such record is very astonishing.

AC Milan statistics and position in the Serie Table

Ac Milan has been in good form since that start of the 2020 season and has been unbeaten in all their eight straight matches in the 2020 Serie A season, with six wins and two draws.

The club has scored 19 goals, the second-highest goals this season from any club, and conceded eight goals. AC Milan maintains their fist position at the Serie A table, two points clear of second-placed Sassuolo.

All thanks to Ibrahimovic who scored 10 out of the whole 19 Serie A goals this season. AC Milan will be praying for Ibrahimovic to be fit to get more goals from the "God of AC Milan", as he calls himself.
