Liverpool's prematch review, injury news and available squad ahead of their match against Brighton

Liverpool fans enjoyed a great winning last weekend, smashing Manchester United 5-0 at Old Trafford. This week they return to the Premier League with a home match hosting Brighton at Anfield on Saturday, October 30 2021, by 03: 00 PM.

The in-form team has enjoyed all their games since the 2021 season, having played nine Premier League match unbeaten.

Last week was one of their best match of the season in the Premier League after beating their bigger rival Manchester United at Old Trafford.

A goal from Naby Keïta, Diego Jota and a hat-trick from Mohamed Salah gave Jürgen Klopp's team the win at Old Trafford. It was a great moment for Liverpool fans who sang throughout the 90 minutes in Manchester.

This week the 2019 Premier League Champions goes into the league again with their spirit high, fighting for the title at the second place of the Premier League table with just one point below league leader Chelsea.

Klopp is full of confidence his team will get a good result on Saturday.

Mohamed Salah is the man on fire right now, bagging in goals for Liverpool this season. On Saturday, the Egyptian Captain created another history to become the second Liverpool's player to score a hat-trick at Old Trafford in the club's history.

He also broke another record as the African highest goal scorer in the Premier League history with 107, goals overtaking former Chelsea's striker Didier Drogba with 106 goals.

Drogba was a high profiled striker in the Premier League during his football career. He was regarded as one the best striker in the world with his great strike and decisive goals.

He was regarded as the best and strongest African striker to play in the Premier League, but Mohamed has surpassed his record and continue to do more.

Ahead of Liverpool's match against Brighton, Salah will be the player to watch as he hopes to take his goalscoring streak to eleven in all competition. Salah is currently the highest goalscorer in Premier League with ten goals, three goals above second-place Jamie Vardy.

He will be a massive threat for Brighton's defenders with his skills, dribbling and goalscoring ability.

Brighton is currently in the 5th position of the Premier League table after nine Premier League matches with 15 points; they won four and drew three out of the nine games.

In their last four Premier League matches, Graham Potter's team has failed to win a single match with three draws and their heavy 4-1 defeat against Premier League's Champion Manchester City last week.

Potter and his team will be facing a huge test when they visit Anfield on Saturday afternoon and hope to get a good result.

Liverpool vs Brighton: injury news

Liverpool injury news

Liverpool's manager Jürgen Klopp has been handed an injury boost as Naby Keïta succeeded Paul Pogba's harsh challenge at Old Trafford's weekend game.

The hard tackle looked very dangerous as Pogba was shown a red card for the foul. Klopp stated that he was lucky not to be injured and added that he would be ready for Saturday's match.

"Naby Keita looks good; we were all surprised, but he was obviously lucky, so I think he will be ready," Kopp said during his prematch conference.

Fabinho and Thiago Alcantara are out with injuries, and the manager has confirmed that they will not be part of the match.

"With Fabinho, it doesn't look that good; it is a bit more complicated. Not too complicated, but complicated enough to keep him out now again, probably. "I am still waiting for the last news, but he is not in team training yet, and that is never a good sign.

"Thiago was in team training for the first time yesterday. We did a session where he could be part of pretty much the whole session; It doesn't mean he is ready to play a football game, unfortunately.

"We will see what we do with him, but he is closer than he was last week, much closer. Now we have to see what we do with that."

Eliot is still sidelined with an injury and will not be involved too.

Brighton's injury news

Ahead of the trip to Anfield, Brighton's manager Graham Potter has confirmed that Dan Burn will not be available for selection due to a knee injury he sustained against Leicester City in Carabao Cup.

"We are a little concerned, to be honest. We will have to get it scanned tomorrow," he said.

"I won't know until then, but at the moment, it is a little concerning because of the way he landed from quite a height as well. So we shall just have to wait and see."

"Dan won't be available for Anfield. We don't know the full extent yet, but it was his knee.

"It doesn't feel as bad this morning. We just need to wait for his scan results."

The English defender missed Brighton games at the start of the season and is now facing another injury that might keep him out for a while.

Despite Burn's injury, Potter has been handed an injury boost as he confirmed that the club's midfielder Yves Bissouma would be available for the Anfield game.

"We will see. It was good to have him on the pitch; that was the idea to get some minutes," he said. "We will see how he recovers. He was not on for long.

"We will make a decision tomorrow, but he will be available for the squad again, which is good news for us."He was good after the game, no problems. It was a pleasing night for us to have him back.
