Alphonse Areola moves into new home in London amid Chelsea link
Paris Saint-German goalkeeper Alphonse Areola has increased the hope of Chelsea fans by fueling the speculation linking him to Chelsea after moving to London with his family.
Chelsea has been reported to be looking for a goalkeeper long ago after the current Manager Frank Lampard felt unsatisfied with the club number one Kepa Arrizabalaga. The manager(Lampard) has seen Chelsea concede many goals due to errors form their shot-stopper. Kepa has made 40 appearances in the 2019/2020 Premier League keeping ten clean sheets and conceding 53 goals.
Lampard has seen the goalkeeper as being incapable of holding his team, and this led to the 25-year-old Spanish international (Kepa) being benched sometimes for Chelsea second-choice goalkeeper Willy Caballero.
As the Premier League season is coming to an end, Lampard is considering offloading their world-record signing Kepa. There have been reports linking the club with different goalkeepers in the likes of Atletico Madrid Jan Oblak, Manchester United Dean Henderson who is currently on loan at Sheffield United and PSG shot-stopper Alphonse Areola.
Areola has fueled the speculation after acquiring a house in London and moved to London with his family. Areola 27 has been on loan at current Spanish champion Real Madrid. Having made only four appearances for the club this season Real Madrid is not considering making his contract permanent. The goalkeeper has declared his interest in getting a new club where he will get more game time.
The wife of the French goalkeeper Marrion Areola has taken to social media to share the picture of their new home in London saying: “A few years ago our dream was to have our home in London. “Our dream came true. Happiness blessed.”
Chelsea will be hoping to acquire the service of the goalkeeper with his move to London making it easier for any discussion. Getting a goalkeeper like Areola will also be a big boost for Lampard due to his composure in front of the goal post.
