Following the restructuring of Barcelona's team by the new manager Ronald Koeman, the Spanish giant is in advanced talks with Eredivise champions Ajax to sign their right-back Sergiño Dest.

It is understood that Barcelona has already agreed on personal terms with Dest and has finished all discussions with his agent but are yet to reach an agreement with Ajax who is holding out for a fee of €25m for Dest.

Barcelona is confident that they will reach an agreement with Ajax as talks continue between both parties. German champions Bayern Munich are also understood to be interested in the signing of the 19-year-old teenager.

Barcelona is currently in need of a right-back having sold their former right-back Nelson Semedo this week to English club Wolves, and it looks like Dest will be replacing the Portuguese international in the coming days.

Dest will be a like to like replacement for Semedo

Dest is a player who suits Barcelona's pattern due to his composure, flexibility, and calmness with the ball. He also has good skills, good passes, fine crosses and good defensive abilities.

Dest joined Ajax youth Academy in 2012 from Dutch Eerste Divisie youth academy, Almere City FC. He made his first senior debut for Ajax last season making 35 appearances with two goals in all competition for the club.

Barcelona has seen much outgoings so far, with likes of Luiz Suarez, Aturo Vidal and Semedo all gone in the past one week.
