Manchester city close to Signing Nathan Ake from Bournemouth

Bournemouth has accepted an offer worth of £41 million from Manchester City for their top-rated Dutch International Nathan Ake.

Manchester City is desperately in search of centre backs after encountering lots of setbacks in the just concluded 2019/2020 season due to lack of defenders and also defensive errors.

The 2018 Premier League Champions have tried different players at the back including Fernandihno and Rodri, who are not natural central-defenders.

It looks like the club's defensive problems will be settling soon with reports that the relegated side Bournemouth has accepted a £41 million offer from City.

Nathan Ake is a well-composed defender who can handle pressure whenever there is any attacking threat.

His is very much composed, good in aerial duels and can deliver quality passes in between the lines. Aki, right-footed,  is also known for his long-range balls.

The 25-year-old Netherlands international joined Bournemouth on June 30, 2017, from Chelsea for a club-record fee of £20m after a loan spell at the club.

He was a crucial part of the squad in the just concluded 2019/2020 Premier League season, making 29 appearances for the club, scoring two goals and providing two assists in the campaign.

Signing for City will not just be a big boost to Pep Guardiola's defence, but a big step forward for the former Chelsea defender after his club got related to the championship.

Bournemouth is set to lose most of its first-team players as they cannot offer them Premier League football with Ake one of them.

Rumours are also flying in regarding Bournemouth's striker Callum Wilson, who is believed to be seeking a way out of the club.
