The Manchester United Left-back Luke Shaw is set to miss one month after picking up an injury in a 3-1 win against Everton in the Premier during the weekend.

Shaw was a part of the game against Everton before he picked up a knock and was replaced with Axel Tuanzebe just 22 minutes into the second half of the game.

After an assessment, Manchester United's officials confirmed that Shaw would be sidelined for four weeks.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunner Solsjkaer has laid the blame on the officials responsible for scheduling matches saying that they were not given time to rest after returning from Champions League match from Turkey and played Saturday's match against Everton So early.

“They set up the boys to fail,” Solskjaer said. “We have got Luke Shaw injured because we have played loads of games this season already, been to Turkey on Wednesday, got back at 4 am on Thursday and we are playing a lunchtime kick-off on Saturday.

“It is an absolute shambles, and I cannot praise the boys enough for the character they have shown. That is all I want to talk about. Those boys deserve better than being thrown out here to fail today. The authorities set us up to fail.”

Is it an opportunity for new signing Alex Telles to take over the left-back?

When the international break finishes, Solsjkaer only has his new signing Alex Telles to fill in the gap. United will be playing against West Brom at Old Trafford next weekend, and it will be Telles' first Premier appearances.

The Brazilian left-back played his first game for Manchester United in the Champions League win against Paris Saint-Germain in France.

Since the away match Telles has been out of Manchester United's squad after he tested positive for coronavirus and was isolated from the rest of the team for two weeks.

It will be an amazing opportunity for Telles, and he will be happy to start his first home game for Manchester United since he joined the club from Portuguese club, FC Porto.

The left-back will be hoping to perform well in his first start and win a spot in Solsjkaer's starting line up.
