Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe has handed Spanish club Real Madrid a big blow after admitting that he wants to commit his future to the club.

The 21-year-old striker has been one of the key players at PSG since his big-money move ( €145 million-plus €35 million in add-ons) to the club from Monaco in 2017. The transfer made him the most expensive teenage footballer in football history. The France international has scored 90 goals and made 49 assists in 120 appearances for the club with his attacking force which has been stunning.

Since 2018 when Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo left the club for Juventus Mbappe has been linked to a move to Real Madrid as his replacement with reports claiming he is the Real Madrid's number one transfer target. Last season the club (Madrid) acquired the service of Chelsea top player Eden Hazard which cooled the speculation linking Mbappe to the club.

Another transfer window is coming and there sare everal reports claiming that Madrid has revived their interest in the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner (Mbappe). After PSG's 4-0 win against Celtic in a friendly match Mbappe in the post-match interview, he wants to stay at PSG and help them in their project.

"I just have to say that I'm here, I'm in the project for the fourth year," Mbappe said. "For everyone, the directors, the supporters. I'm going to keep going, no matter what. "I want to help the team win trophies and be the best in the world."

The star player's contract with PSG will be expiring in 2022 and the club will be hoping to hand him another contract to wave any speculation linking him to other clubs.

Real Madrid will be offloading some players like Gareth Bale and Luka Jovic in this transfer window and will be hoping to acquire the services of the French man to fill the gap of the players and help them defend their 2019/2020 title next season.
