Victor Osimhen close to joining Serie A club Napoli

Lille striker Victor Osimhen is one step away from joining Italian side Napol after he reportedly agreed on a personal term with the club.

The 21-year-old striker joined French side Lille from Charleroi during 2019 January transfer window. Since his arrival, he became the club's number one top striker after scoring twice in his debut against Nantes on August 11 in a match that ended 2-1 in favour of Lille.

The Nigerian international continued his fine form for the club as he was named Ligue one player of the month for September 2019 after scoring two goals and assisting more two in five matches. Osimhen went on to finish as Lille top scorer in 2019/2020 season scoring 13 goals in 25 appearances in Ligue one.

Since hitting his fine form for Lille, Osimhen has been a hint of transfer speculation as he has been linked with different Europian top clubs like Arsenal, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Manchester City. It was rumoured that Arsenal was in the pole position of signing the exceptional striker.

It is understood now that Osimhen is almost on his way to joining Napoli after he agreed on a personal term with club, the term will see stay at the Italian side till June 2025 (five years contract). Napoli is now looking to finalize his deal with both his club and his agent.

It is understood that the Osimhen is valued at €81 million and it is left for Napoli to know if they can afford the deal. According to a report from L'Equipe, Osimhen could complete his move to Napoli on Thursday in a lucrative deal which will see him earn more salary than what he makes at Lille.
