Alex Song joins Djibouti Premier League side AS Arta Solar7
Former Arsenal and Barcelona Midfielder Alex Song has joined Djibouti League Side As Arta Solar7 in a reported two-year deal from the Swiss side, Sion.
Alex Song who made his professional Debut for French Ligue 1 Bastia side back in 2004, was deemed for greatness following his move to English Premier League Champions Arsenal at the age of 17.
Later on, Alex Song became a regular and a midfield enforcer at Arsenal, playing as a defensive midfielder and later a creator in the Arsenal Midfield.
Song seemed to be on the right path to success as his performances earned him a move to the Premier League champions Arsenal at sheer age of 17.
At 24 years and his last year at Arsenal, Alex Song was an instrumental figure for Arsenal including in their 2-1 victory over FC Barcelona in the Champions League.
A year later, Barcelona came knocking for him, and he joined the Spanish giants in a reported and shocking deal of around £15 million fees after 215 appearances with the Gunners.

However, Song struggled to break into the starting lineup at Barcelona ahead of Sergio Busquets, and the Catalan Giants loaned him back to Premier League side West Ham for the 2014/15 season.
Song settled quickly into the Hammers’ first team and became one of the Londoners’ top players.
In 2016, he was able to finalize a permanent move to Rubin Kazan on a free transfer coming from Barcelona but only played 23 matches in two years before Signing for Swiss side Sion.
Arta Solar7 finished fourth on the Djibouti Premier League table last season with 24 points, four behind champions Total FC just missing out on the continental football.
