Wolves close to signing Maitland-Niles from Arsenal
Wolves are in advanced talks with Arsenal over the transfer of Ainsley Maitland-Niles on a permanent four-year contract with Arsenal demanding up to £20m for the young player.
Wolves in currently in Advanced talks with Arsenal for Ainsley Maitland-Niles, and are negotiating the player's contract as well as the transfer fee with the gunners in the region of £20m.
The 22-year-old versatile player who can play as a midfielder, winger, right back or left-wing back made his first Premier League debut under former manager Arsene Wenger.
He established himself as a regular starter under Wenger's team making 28 appearances in all competition at the end of 2018 season. Maitland-Niles' still has three years left in his contract with Arsenal and the club can only let the England international leave for £20m.
It is believed that Ainsley Maitland-Niles is in search of a regular football game and is very convinced that he won't get that in Mikel Arteta's team. He is very loved by Arsenal, very humble, can play in multiple positions when called upon, and Arsenal fans are not happy with the new development.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles prefers to play in the midfield even during Arsene Wenger's time. But it seemed all the coaches he has been under: Arsene Wenger, Unai Emery, Freddie Ljungberg and now Mikel Arteta do not see him as a midfielder.
He has always been deployed as a wing-back, playing on the right when called upon.
Wolves are currently running short of left wing-backs as the clubs' left-back Jonny is sidelined with an injury. The club's coach Nuno Espírito Santo will be hoping to acquire the service of Maitland-Niles before the Premier League starts.
In the concluded 2019/2020 season, Ainsley Maitland-Niles made 32 appearances for Arsenal in all competition and was mostly utilized as a right-back replacing the injured Hector Bellerín.
