How to subscribe to Airtel Night Plan

The Airtel Night Plan is a low-tariff data bundle from Airtel that provides consumers with discounted internet access during the late hours of the night. Airtel introduced the Airtel Night plan exclusively for subscribers of Airtel Smart Trybe.

Available from midnight to 5 a.m. at a cost of 25 NGN for 250 MB, the Airtel Night Plan is the cheapest data plan in Nigeria. 

To enjoy and benefit from the Airtel Night Plan, users must be on the Airtel Smart Trybe, which can be migrated to by dialling *412# and selecting "1" on the pop-up box to accept.

After migrating to Airtel Smart Trybe, follow the steps below to subscribe to the Airtel Night plan:

1. Maintain a minimum amount of 25 NGN on your Airtel sim card.
2. Dial the Airtel Night Plan code *412#. 
3. Answer the prompt by either inputting "#" before entering 3 in the pop-up screen or directly inputting 3.
4. The Airtel Night Plan will be enabled.

Previously, this process provided a limited data allocation of 1.25 GB for 125 NGN per night, and there were no SMS confirmations. With the new change, the Airtel night plan is now unlimited, and every subscription will receive an SMS confirmation.

 How to check Data balance on Airtel

It is not enough to use the Airtel Night Browsing plan; you must also monitor and check your data balance regularly to avoid being charged from your main account balance.

There are two methods for checking Airtel's data balance:

• USSD code
• Direct SMS

A USSD code can check your Airtel data balance; it is simple and quick to use. It is also worth noting that the USSD code for checking Airtel data balance for Android plan subscribers differs from that of Blackberry plan subscribers.

1. Dial the USSD code *323# to check the data balance on the Airtel network for an Android subscription.
2. Wait for a prompt message containing your Airtel data balance.

The Android data subscription differs from the Blackberry subscription, but you can check your Airtel data using the method below:

4. Then send the text to 440.
5. Wait to receive a message with information about your Airtel data balance.
